Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask us to delete your Arthadok account and the personal data we hold about you. Here is how, and what to expect.

Option 1 — In the app

  1. Log in at https://arthadok.com.
  2. Open Profile → Account Settings.
  3. Click Delete my account and confirm.
  4. We will start the deletion process and aim to complete it within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days).

Option 2 — By email

  1. Email admin@arthadok.com from the address on your Arthadok account.
  2. Subject: "Delete my account".
  3. We will verify your identity and confirm deletion within a reasonable period after verification.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile fields (name, email, mobile, password hash).
  • Your study activity associated with your account (papers generated, doubts, bookmarks, tick-mark completions, progress, streaks, time-on-site logs).
  • Any Telegram-bot link (chat ID, doubt history) associated with your account.
  • Any cached OTPs or session tokens.

What we may keep

Even after deletion, we may retain certain information where we have a legitimate need to, including:

  • Payment records (order ID, amount, plan, date) for up to 7 years to comply with Indian tax law.
  • Records needed to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, or resolve disputes.
  • Backups for a limited period until they are overwritten in the ordinary course.
  • Aggregated or de-identified analytics that no longer identify you.

A note on submitted content

Deleting your account does not retroactively revoke the licence you granted us in your User Content under Section 5 of our Terms (for example, AI training signal or de-identified content already used to improve the Service). Wherever feasible, we will dissociate such content from your identity.
