We've kept this Policy short and readable. It explains what we collect when you use Arthadok, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, mobile number, course level (CA / CMA / CS / Professional), and password (stored hashed).
- Verification data: One-time passwords sent to your email for signup and password reset. Mobile verification is optional and, when used, delivered to your Telegram client via the Telegram Gateway API. OTPs are held briefly and then discarded.
- Doubt & Telegram-bot data: If you connect our Telegram bot, your Telegram chat ID, public username (if any), the text/photo of your doubts, and the responses we deliver are stored against your account.
- Usage and study data: question papers you generate, doubts asked, study progress, tick-mark completions, time-on-site signals, bookmarks, journal entries, community posts, and interaction logs.
- Device & technical data: IP address, browser, device identifiers, approximate location (from IP), language settings, and cookies/local storage required for the Service to work.
- Inferred data: signals we derive from how you use Arthadok (e.g. strong/weak chapters, engagement patterns) to personalise your experience.
- Payment data: processed by Razorpay. We store the order ID, plan, amount, and subscription dates — never your card or UPI details.
- Communications: emails, support messages, and Founder's Declaration applications you choose to send us.
2. How we use your data
We use the data above to:
- Provide, maintain, personalise, secure, and improve Arthadok and any future products or services we offer.
- Verify your identity, prevent fraud, enforce plan limits, and detect abuse.
- Route, review and deliver doubts you submit via our Telegram bot.
- Process payments and manage your subscription via Razorpay.
- Train, evaluate and improve the AI models we use (including using your inputs and outputs as training signal, with reasonable measures to de-identify where feasible). This helps every user, not just you.
- Conduct research, analytics and benchmarking on aggregated and de-identified data.
- Send you essential service communications (receipts, renewal reminders, security alerts) and, where appropriate, study tips or product updates. You can opt out of non-essential messages.
- Evaluate applications you submit to the Founder Track or Leader Track (only if you choose to apply).
- Comply with applicable laws, regulatory requests, and to enforce our Terms.
3. Who we share data with
We share what we need to with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers who help us operate Arthadok, including Resend (email), Telegram Gateway API (optional mobile OTPs), Telegram Bot API (doubt resolution channel), Razorpay (payments), cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, database, vector search), and AI model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google AI (for doubt drafts, paper generation, and explanations). Prompts may contain your question text but not your credentials.
- Affiliates and successors — if we restructure, merge, or are acquired, your data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
- Authorities — when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Arthadok, our users, or the public.
- Anyone, in aggregated or de-identified form — we may publish or share insights drawn from de-identified data for any purpose.
4. International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside India. By using Arthadok you consent to your data being processed in those jurisdictions under reasonable contractual safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as necessary for our legitimate business purposes, which typically means while your account is active and for a reasonable period after, plus longer where the law requires (for example, payment records for up to 7 years under Indian tax law). Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and tell us at admin@arthadok.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for compromises arising from your failure to keep your credentials safe.
7. Your choices
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification. To make a request, email admin@arthadok.com or use our Data Deletion page. We aim to respond within 30 days. Some data may be retained where we have a legal basis to do so (for example, fraud prevention or tax records).
8. Children
Arthadok is intended for users 13 years and older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always live on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Arthadok after we post changes means you accept the updated Policy.
